Make Music New Haven is returning on June 21, 2020, for Greater New Haven’s 3rd Annual Make Music Day celebration. Due to COVID-19, our celebration will look different than it has in previous years. How Can You Perform?
Make Music New Haven is a virtual event in 2020. Live stream performances and events will replace the usual in-person performances and events to celebrate the day. Anyone interested in celebrating Make Music Day by performing should register their live stream performances with us. Registered performances will be promoted on social media, our website, and via email.
All Make Music New Haven performances must be free to attend and family-friendly.
Registration to participate in Make Music New Haven looks a little bit different this year. In previous years, we’ve used a matchmaking platform to connect musicians and venues together to coordinate performances. Given the current health crisis, we’re encouraging all musicians to focus on creating free and accessible virtual performances. This eliminates the need to connect with venues, so we’ve opted to offer a simpler way of registering your performance to be a part of Make Music New Haven.
All you have to do is fill out a brief form letting us know who you are, and when and where (virtual location) your performance will take place. The registration form offers a number of optional fields that ask for information to help us better promote each performance and performer. Please fill out as much of the registration form as possible, as it will allow us to share more about you and your performance.
