Alec Pedersen
Alec is a young musician from East Rock and a rising sophomore at New Haven Academy. He writes in the American Folk tradition but has been trained on the saxophone in jazz and classical styles. His major influences are Bob Dylan, Tom Waits, Joni Mitchell, God, and Charles Schulz. In January 2020, right before the pandemic, he picked up the guitar and began writing songs in the spring of 2020. In November he put his first EP on Soundcloud, entitled "New Haven County." This was followed by two LPs, "Moonlight Cats" and "Rainbirds." Alec is incredibly passionate about music and believes it may be his calling.
